Needing space without disappearing

Space is not punishment. But silent space can feel like one. A short note on staying present while stepping back.

Wanting space after conflict is healthy. Going completely quiet without telling your partner you need space is what often hurts. The difference between space and disappearance is a single sentence: I need a moment, and I'll come back.

Name the shape of the space

If you can, name how much. An hour. The rest of the evening. Until tomorrow morning. You don't need to be precise — you just need to tell the other person there's a return.
